This PTFE Teflon thread seal tape is medium density, requiring fewer wraps to seal the job. It is manufactured from 100 percent virgin PTFE, and is 3.5 mil in thickness. It meets Mil. Spec T-27730A and ASTM D-3308 PTFE is a lubricant in itself, so these tapes offer easy assembly and sealing, plus they are compatible with a wide range of chemicals. They can be used on all types of metal and plastic pipe threads.
