The cast alloy base and head provides a rigid, yet lightweight cutting platform for excellent cutting quality.
The professional vice has prismatic guides like those found on lathe beds for rigidity and accuracy. The swivel head allows cutting between 0 - 45° without moving the workpiece.
This is in contrast to pressed steel Evolution type TCT saws with pressed steel vices which are very difficult to mitre accurately.
The Femi 782XL is designed for dry cutting so no messy lubrication. The 950W motor has digital electronic speed regulator "constant speed" with amperometric limiting device and a 2 speed switch. This allows both ferrous and non ferrous metal to be cut correctly. Although small and portable the Femi 782XL will cut up to 105mm (4") round, 95mm x 95mm (3.5") square and 100mm x 85mm (4" x 3.5" rectangular sections.
The 782XL can be locked in a vertical position and, when used in conjunction with the optional table kit and quadrant, used as a vertical bandsaw for cutting sheet metal.
As far as we are aware these are the only non Chinese portable bandsaws available in the UK so if you are looking for something higher quality that the SIP, Sealey, Axminster or Machine Mart level machines this should suit perfectly for not much more money.
